Bullying Prevention
Commitment
The Tantasqua Regional & Union 61 School Districts are committed to providing a safe, positive, and productive educational environment where students can achieve the highest academic standards. No student shall be subjected to harassment, intimidation, bullying or cyber-bullying.
Background on Anti-Bullying Law: In 2010, Massachusetts enacted a law protecting students from unwanted, aggressive behavior. This legislation prohibits bullying on school grounds, buses, and at school activities, requiring schools to report and address bullying incidents. At Tantasqua Regional and Union 61 Schools, we are committed to educating students about bullying and guiding them on what to do if they experience or witness bullying. We expect every student, parent, and staff member to be familiar with this plan.
